Hi there!

I’m Kirsten White, RD, CD

Nutrition can be confusing and it can be hard to know who to trust. My name is Kirsten White and I am a registered dietitian who specializes in disordered eating, eating disorders (outpatient level of care) and body image.

After 3+ years in the field, I have become passionate in helping women reach their full potential by letting go of the stronghold that food has on them and showing them the steps to achieving body confidence. No, this doesn’t mean you’ll love your body every day, but what it does mean is that you will no longer force it to suffer from negative self-talk and restrict/binge behaviors with food. Instead, you’ll learn how to care, appreciate and provide compassion to yourself and your body, no matter that it looks like.

What does it mean to be a registered dietitian?

What this means is that I completed a 4-year degree in nutrition (at University of Wisconsin- Green Bay) along with an accredited internship program (at University of Houston) and finally passed the national exam.

My Story

Growing up, I played competitive soccer for 12+ years, however, due to improper fueling I started to lose my energy, love for the sport, and developed an eating disorder. In college, I decided to run cross country at Western New England University, but again was unable to sustain this due to my skewed (and diet culture filled) knowledge of nutrition.

This is what fueled my desire to go back to school to become a registered dietitian. After my own recovery, I wanted to support those who are also struggling and/or hopefully prevent women from ever going down my same path.

Post-college I am now able to feel confident in my body, have freedom with food and enjoy playing soccer again without any fears of my disordered habits returning. I practice self-compassion on the daily, but even I am still learning and evolving. That is what makes this work SO important.

With 5+ years under my belt of recovery and currently specializing in body image and disordered eating/eating disorders, I have been able to support many women in fueling their bodies consistently and gaining confidence in their body and self.
